Hi all!

Here is a simple guide on how to connect to VATSIM using FSinn

Note: I have used public beta 2 version 1127

ftp://www.mcdu.com/mcdu/SetupFSInn1.1.B2.1127.exe

Vatsim connection
The PF (Pilot Flying), should be the one connecting to VATSIM with his
FSinn. PF is hereafter reffered to as [HOST], PNF is hereby reffered to as [CLIENT]
1. [BOTH] - Start FS2004
2. [BOTH] - Select preferred MDmax aircraft model.
3. [HOST] - Start FSinn and connect to Vatsim as normal. Fsinn should now automatically start the FSFDT control panel (6 lights on the taskbar) and created a multiplayer session that FS2004 connects to automatically.
4. [HOST] - right click the six lights on the taskbar - "show" the panel, and go in the left menu to config - FWinn - extra. Enable the "FS2004 multiplayer directplay...."

5. [HOST] - Open your peer 2 peer settings in FSinn, and set the options as in picture below.

(Change the internet speed as required, port 23458 is tested and working)

4. [HOST] - find your IP using http://www.whatismyip.com, send this to your friend..
6. [CLIENT] - Join the MP session using port 23458 (Note: this port is the only port tested.. and its working (press client settings in the multiplayer window in fs))

7. [BOTH] - Select preferred panel (MDMax - FSnet - CM1 / CM2)
8. [BOTH] - Start FSnet and connect as described in the manual from FSnet

Note: Text in GREEN is only needed done once.

Both should see online traffic, but the VATSIM ATC only see one aircraft at your position. Now for the voice on the client side (the host has already voice on the SB3 session..) I strongly recommend a voice chat programme that allows you to use a PTT button for communication with each other. I preferable use Teamspeak.

Similar to SB3 setup rgd the [CLIENT]

Note: Maybe this guide also work on IVAO using FSinn, not tested yet!.

Hi all!

For you still using FS2004 and MDmax, there is a new version of FSinn that supports shared cockpit much better rgd voice. see the forums here:

http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4363

MP setup: Join multiplayer as described above.

The PNF (client) just set a "tick" in the "observer" in the connection setup.. by doing this, BOTH pilots can connect to VATSIM, and communicate with ATC, but only one player visible for ATC.

Rgd private voice refer tu the FSinn manual.. you can use private voice setup feature inn FSinn, and set the priority for your privater voice over ATC voice to be able to communicate with your copilot even if ATC is transmitting.. (voice channel priority)'
